🎯 Tips & Tricks
The dealer is usually at the 'Passiflora' brothel in Novigrad (near the Temple Isle bridge). Talk to him and browse his stock—he sells cards for 50-200 crowns each. To buy all missing cards at once, open his menu and use the 'Buy All' option if you have the 'Sort Everything' mod; otherwise, manually purchase each card. He restocks every 24 in-game hours, so meditate for a day if he's sold out.
If you prefer him in another location, type 'spawn(merchant_gwint_dealer)' in the console (requires 'Console Commands' mod). This will spawn a temporary version. For a permanent move, edit the mod's 'merchant_placement.ws' file and change the coordinates—the default is (600, 2000, 100) for Passiflora, but you can set it to Novigrad's main square (1500, 2500, 50).
The dealer sells duplicates, but you can't have more than one of each card. Use the 'Gwent Collection' tab in your inventory (under 'Quest Items') to check which cards you're missing. Then, in the dealer's menu, hover over each card and look for a 'Already Owned' tag—if present, skip it. This saves thousands of crowns, as some cards cost 200+.
🔧 Troubleshooting
The dealer doesn't spawn after installation, or the game crashes when entering Passiflora.
This mod conflicts with 'HoS Expansion' mods that alter the Passiflora interior. Load 'The Gwent Card Dealer' AFTER 'HoS Enhanced' in your modlist (e.g., in Vortex, use 'Load After'). If it still crashes, delete 'modTheGwentCardDealer/content/scripts/local/passiflora.ws' and use the version that places the dealer at the Crossroads Inn instead.
The dealer sells cards that are quest-locked (e.g., 'Ciri' or 'Geralt' cards), breaking the story's reward system.
This is a known issue with the mod's default configuration. Edit 'modTheGwentCardDealer/content/config.xml' and set '<ExcludeQuestCards>true</ExcludeQuestCards>' to hide those cards. If you've already bought them, use the console command 'removeitem('gwint_card_ciri')' to remove it and avoid game-breaking dialogue bugs in the 'Gwent: To Each This Blaze' quest.
