Indestructible Items - No More Weapon Degradation (Next-Gen Update Compatible)
witcher-3 β Mods & Enhancements
This mod completely disables the weapon and armor durability system in The Witcher 3, meaning Geralt's swords, crossbows, and armor never lose condition regardless of combat, blocking, or weathering. Players install it to eliminate the tedious need to constantly visit armorers/blacksmiths for repairs, especially during long expeditions in Skellige or when using relic swords with high repair costs. It also prevents the sudden 'weapon broken' debuff that reduces damage by 50%, which can be fatal on Death March difficulty.

π― Tips & Tricks
In patch 4.00, repair kits were rebalanced. After installing, open the in-game menu (Esc) > Options > Gameplay, and confirm 'Repair Costs' still show default values. If repair kits still work, the mod is active; if not, ensure the mod's .ws script is not overwritten by another mod that edits playerWitcher.ws.
If you want a hard guarantee, open the console (default ~ key) and type 'addabl' (no quotes) then 'setmaxdurability(999999)' for each equipped item. However, this mod already handles itβuse only if you see durability bars decreasing.
If you still want repair mechanics but auto-repair at merchants, install 'Auto Repair Items' and this mod together. In the mod's config file (modIndestructibleItems/config.cfg), set 'RepairCostMultiplier=0' and 'EnableRepairKitUse=false' to let the other mod handle visual durability while this one blocks degradation.
π§ Troubleshooting
Conflicts with 'Ghost Mode' overhaul which rebalances durability and adds repair-based perks.
Load Indestructible Items AFTER Ghost Mode in Vortex (or manual mod order). Edit Ghost Mode's 'modGhostMode/config/ghostmode.xml' and set 'durabilityEnabled=false' to let Indestructible Items override without script errors.
Incompatibility with 'W3EE Redux' (Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition) which uses durability for weapon damage scaling.
Do NOT use with W3EE Reduxβit will break combat balance. Instead, use W3EE's built-in 'No Durability' option in its MCM menu. If you must, patch via Script Merger, but expect weapon damage to be miscalculated.
