starfield — Mods & Enhancements
Baka Disable My Games Folder is an SFSE plugin for Starfield that redirects the MOTD and Photo Mode texture paths from the Documents/My Games folder to the game's Data folder. 🎯 Tips & Tricks
Make sure SFSE is installed and launched via its loader, not the default Starfield exe, or the plugin won't activate.
After installing, verify that your MOTD and Photo Mode textures are now in Data\Textures\Interface and Data\Textures\Photos, respectively.
If you're a mod author, update your mod descriptions to tell users to install textures into the Data folder instead of My Games.

⚠️ Common Mistakes
- Installing multiple mods that modify the same files without checking compatibility
👍 Pros
- Huge community trust with 5,681 endorsements and 274k downloads — this is a staple for Starfield modding.
- Simplifies mod organization by centralizing textures in the game's Data folder, reducing clutter in My Games.
- Essential for mod authors and users who want to avoid conflicts with Documents folder paths.
👎 Cons
- Requires SFSE, so you must have the Script Extender installed and updated for each game patch.
- Only affects MOTD and Photo Mode textures — doesn't address other My Games folder files.
- Last updated May 2025 — check compatibility with the latest Starfield patch before installing.
