Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Edition -CBBE-
skyrim — Mods & Enhancements
CBBE is a comprehensive female body replacer for Skyrim that replaces the vanilla body mesh with a high-poly, customizable mesh, allowing players to adjust body shape (weight, breast size, hip width) via an in-game MCM or using Bodyslide/Outfit Studio. It also includes a texture set (skin) with options for smooth or detailed skin, and supports body physics via HDT-SMP or CBPC. Players install it to achieve a more realistic or stylized female body, and it's a prerequisite for many armor/clothing mods that are built around CBBE body shapes.

🎯 Tips & Tricks
Install Bodyslide and Outfit Studio from Nexus. In Bodyslide, go to 'Outfit/Body' dropdown, select a preset (e.g., CBBE Curvy or a custom preset), then select 'Batch Build' and choose all CBBE-compatible armor/clothing mods. Ensure 'Build Morphs' is checked for sliders to work in RaceMenu. After building, go to Data/meshes/actors/character/character assets and check that femalebody_0.nif and femalebody_1.nif are present.
Install CBPC - CBP Physics (not HDT-SMP if you want lighter load). After installing, go to Data/SKSE/Plugins/CBPC.ini and adjust 'BreastPhysics' and 'ButtPhysics' values (e.g., 'BreastMass=0.5' for less bounce). For per-character settings, use the in-game MCM 'CBPC' menu to set 'Enable' for each body part. This works with CBBE out of the box if you have the CBBE physics body from the main mod.
When installing armor mods that are CBBE-compatible, always use the CBBE version (not UNP). If you see clipping (fingers or chest), run Bodyslide and rebuild that specific outfit with 'Outfit' selected. For mods like 'Immersive Armors', use the CBBE patch from its FOMOD, and ensure your load order has CBBE's esp above the armor mod's esp.
🔧 Troubleshooting
Invisible body or neck seams when using CBBE with UNP-based textures or armor
This happens if you have UNP armor meshes overriding CBBE body. Install 'CBBE compatible' versions of all armor mods, or use 'BodySlide and Outfit Studio' to convert UNP outfits to CBBE. For textures, use only CBBE-specific skin replacers (e.g., 'Mature Skin' CBBE version). Ensure no other body mod (like UNP) is loaded after CBBE in your load order.
CTD or physics jitter when using CBBE with HDT-SMP and XPMSE skeleton
This is often due to missing HDT-SMP XML files. Install 'HDT-SMP (Skinned Mesh Physics)' from Nexus, then ensure you have 'XPMSE' installed (required). In HDT-SMP's config, set 'EnableCBP' to false if using CBPC. Also, check that your GPU drivers support DX11, and set 'iNumHWThreads=2' in Skyrim.ini to reduce physics load.
