yumi model for bia
minecraft — Mods & Enhancements
This mod replaces the default 3D model of the 'Bia' character from the Minecraft mod 'Bia's Mod' (a companion/waifu mod) with a custom model of 'Yumi' from the popular anime series 'Senran Kagura'. It swaps the geometry, textures, and animations of Bia's entity to match Yumi's appearance, including her signature twin-tails and purple outfit, while keeping the same AI behavior, dialogue, and interaction mechanics. Players install this to personalize their companion's look without changing gameplay, often for aesthetic or roleplay purposes in modpacks.

🎯 Tips & Tricks
You must have Bia's Mod (version 1.12.2 or 1.16.5 depending on your pack) installed and working before adding this model. Extract the zip, place the 'yumi_model.jar' into your 'mods' folder, and ensure you do NOT overwrite the original Bia's Mod jar. Launch Minecraft, create a world, and spawn Bia using the command '/summon bia:bia' to verify the model loads correctly.
If the model doesn't appear, press F3+T to reload textures and models in-game. If that fails, go to your '.minecraft/config/bia.cfg' file and set 'modelOverride' to 'yumi' (without quotes), then restart the game. This manually tells Bia's Mod to use the custom model file from the jar.
This mod includes custom animations for Yumi's idle and walk cycles. To ensure they play correctly, disable any other mod that modifies entity animations, such as 'First Person Mod' or 'Better Animation', by removing them from your mods folder temporarily. Then re-enable them one by one after testing to find the conflict.
For a more polished look, install 'Custom Skin Loader' (CSL) and place Yumi's skin texture in the 'skins' folder of CSL. Then in Bia's Mod config, set 'skinPath' to that file. This makes the model use high-res textures instead of the default 16x16, improving visual quality.
Copy your world save folder (found in '.minecraft/saves/') to a safe location. If the model causes a crash or corrupts Bia's entity data, you can revert without losing progress. Use this tip especially if you have a long-term world with Bia already spawned.
🔧 Troubleshooting
Crash when Bia spawns with 'OptiFine' installed
OptiFine's custom entity rendering conflicts with the model's shader-based textures. Update OptiFine to the latest version compatible with your Minecraft version, or disable 'Custom Entity Models' in OptiFine's Video Settings > Quality > Custom Entity Models: OFF. Then restart the game and test spawning Bia again.
Bia's model is invisible or shows as a black square with 'MobSpawner' mods
This happens when 'MobSpawner' or 'CustomNPCs' mods override entity renderers. In your 'mods' folder, place this model's jar AFTER those mods in alphabetical order (rename the jar to 'zz_yumi_model.jar' to force load order). Alternatively, in the 'CustomNPCs' config, set 'entityRenderOverride' to false.
