Slinx's Naughty Furry HUD and UI

This mod completely replaces Minecraft's default HUD textures with custom furry-themed artwork, including a lewd twist on the hotbar, health hearts, hunger drumsticks, armor icons, and the boss bar. It also alters the inventory screen background and button highlights, making every GUI interaction feel themed. Players install it for immersion in furry RPG servers or to add humor/edge to their single-player worlds, but it requires OptiFine or CIT to work with resource pack features like animated overlays.

🎯 Tips & Tricks

Enable custom textures for the HUD in OptiFine

Open your Minecraft settings, go to Video Settings > Quality, and set 'Custom Textures' to ON. Then go to Resource Packs, select this pack, and press 'Done'. If hearts or hunger don't change, restart the game and verify the pack is above any other UI mods like 'AppleSkin' or 'Better HUD'.

Force HUD scale to avoid overlapping icons

In-game, press F3 to open debug, then type '/hudscale 2' in chat (requires permission) or edit options.txt in your .minecraft folder: change 'guiScale' to 2 or 3. This prevents the custom heart icons from clipping into the armor bar when playing on small screens.

Use with a shader pack for glow effects

Install the pack with 'Complementary Reimagined' or 'BSL' shaders. Go to Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options > Colored Lighting, and set 'HUD Glow' to ON. This makes the lewd icons emit a soft glow, but only works if you have OptiFine or Oculus installed.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Incompatibility with 'Better HUD' mod causing missing health text

Load 'Slinx's Naughty Furry HUD' AFTER 'Better HUD' in your mod list (e.g., in Forge, place it lower in the mods folder). Better HUD's text overlay overrides the heart icons; to fix, open Better HUD's config file (config/betterhud.json) and set 'showHeartCount' to false.

Crash with 'Roughly Enough Items' (REI) when opening inventory

This happens because both mods try to override the inventory background texture. Edit REI's config (config/roughlyenoughitems/config.toml) and set 'searchOverlay' to false, or install 'REI Plugin Compat' patch from CurseForge that forces REI to use vanilla textures.
