Marie Prowell model for jenny

This mod replaces the default 'Jenny' NPC model with a custom Marie Prowell model, inspired by the character from 'Phoenix Wright' but reimagined in Minecraft. It swaps Jenny's base geometry to a more formal, suit-wearing silhouette, with a distinctive short haircut and a tie. The mod changes the idle stance, walking animation, and adds a custom 'objection' pose when you right-click her. Players install this for a legal-themed roleplay or to give Jenny a more professional look.

🎯 Tips & Tricks

Activate the 'Objection' pose via the interaction menu

Right-click Jenny after installing the mod, then select 'Emote' > 'Objection'. This plays a custom animation that raises her arm. If it doesn't work, bind a key in Controls > 'Marie Prowell Emote' and press that key instead.

Use the 'Formal Suit' texture pack for the full look

Download the 'Marie Prowell Formal Suit' resource pack from CurseForge and enable it in Options > Resource Packs > Available. This adds a shiny suit texture with a red tie. Without it, the model uses a default gray suit texture.

Fix the model's arm position when holding items

The model's arms are angled differently, so when Jenny holds a sword, it may clip. To fix, install 'Better Combat' and set the weapon hold style to 'Two-Handed' in the mod's config. This aligns the weapon with the new arm bones.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Crash with 'Custom NPC Mod' (CNPC) when both try to control Jenny's AI

In the CNPC config, set 'allowCustomModels' to false for the Jenny NPC. Then in this mod's config, set 'aiOverride=true'. This ensures the model doesn't interfere with CNPC's pathfinding, and the Marie Prowell model takes over the visual only.

Texture flickering when using 'OptiFine' with 'Connected Textures'

Disable 'Connected Textures' in OptiFine settings (Options > Video Settings > Quality > Connected Textures = OFF). The mod's suit texture uses a custom alpha layer that conflicts with OptiFine's connected texture logic, causing flickering on the tie.

⚠️ Common Mistakes

  • Placing this mod above 'Jenny Mod' in the load order, which causes the original Jenny model to load first and the Marie Prowell model to be ignored. Always place this mod AFTER the base Jenny mod.
  • Forgetting to update the 'Jenny' mod to version 1.5.3 or higher, as older versions don't support the custom bone structure used for the suit and tie, leading to a deformed model with floating limbs.
