ellie model no 6

Ellie Model No. 6 is a custom player model addon for Minecraft Java Edition, designed for use with the Custom Player Models (CPM) mod or Figura. It replaces the default player model with a detailed anime-style female character model (named 'Ellie') featuring custom limbs, head shape, and idle animations. Players install this to get a unique avatar for roleplay servers, YouTube content, or personal use, but it does not alter gameplay mechanics—it only changes visual representation.

🎯 Tips & Tricks

Install CPM mod and import the model file

Download Custom Player Models (CPM) mod from Modrinth for your Minecraft version (e.g., 1.20.1). Place the .jar in mods folder, launch game, then press 'K' to open the CPM editor. Click 'Import' and select the 'ellie_model_no_6.cpmproject' file. Then go to Options > Custom Player Models > 'Load model' and choose 'Ellie Model No. 6'.

Set the model as default for all players on a server

If you run a server, install CPM on the server side and place the model in the 'config/cpm/models' folder. Then in server config (config/cpm-server.toml), set 'default_model' to 'ellie_model_no_6'. This makes every player see the model by default, but they can override it locally.

Use with Figura for advanced animations

If you prefer Figura mod, convert the model using Figura's model converter (available on their GitHub). Then place the .bbmodel file in .minecraft/figura/models. Bind animations via Figura's Lua scripts, e.g., set 'walk' animation to 'ellie_walk' for custom gait.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Model appears as a black silhouette or missing textures when using OptiFine's shaders

CPM models use custom texture layers that OptiFine's shader pipeline sometimes doesn't render. Disable 'Custom Entity Models' in OptiFine video settings, or use Iris shaders instead (which support CPM via the 'Iris CPM' compatibility mod). For shaders like BSL, set 'entity_shadows' to off in shader options.

Model clips through armor or shows vanilla arms when wearing armor

CPM models have separate armor layers. Go to CPM editor, select the 'armor' part, and adjust the 'render' toggle to 'on' for each armor piece. Also, set 'use_vanilla_armor' to false in the model's properties. If using a server, ensure the server's CPM mod version matches your client's (e.g., both 1.20.1-0.6.10).
