Metro System
cyberpunk-2077 β Mods & Enhancements
Metro System adds a fully functional subway network to Night City, with 19 explorable stations (including hidden ones like the 'Pacifica Ruins' stop) and a working train that runs on a real-time schedule. You can ride in first-person to watch the city pass by, or switch to third-person to see V standing inside the car, and the mod integrates with the game's fast-travel system so you can enter/exit from any station. Players install this for immersive roleplay, to avoid driving through traffic, and to discover new vantage points for screenshots or hidden lore shards.

π― Tips & Tricks
Open the CET console (default '~') and type 'MetroSystem.UnlockAllStations()' to reveal every station on the map, including the locked 'North Oak' and 'Crystal Palace' stops. This bypasses the need to physically visit each station to unlock it, saving hours of backtracking.
In the mod's settings file at 'Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\mods\MetroSystem\config.json', set 'timeScale' to 1.0 and 'arrivalWarp' to true. This makes the train depart on the exact real-time minute, and if you're late, it warps you to the next station instead of making you waitβperfect for timed quests like 'The Pickup' where you need to meet Jackie.
When you have a 3-star wanted level, enter any metro station and pay the fare (100 eddies). The train ride counts as a 'safe zone' and will drop your wanted level to 0 by the time you exit at the next stopβthis works even during scripted chases, but only if you're not actively being shot.
π§ Troubleshooting
Metro System crashes when combined with 'Immersive First Person' mod.
This is a known conflict because both mods override the player camera rig. Install the 'Metro System - Immersive First Person Patch' from Nexus, which re-routes the metro camera through the immersive mod's system. Alternatively, disable 'firstPersonCamera' in Metro's config and use third-person only.
Metro stations don't appear on the map after installing 'World Map Enhancement'.
The map mod uses a different icon layer. Edit 'World Map Enhancement'\r6\scripts\map_enhancement.reds and add a line to include 'metro_station' icons: 'if (iconType == 14) then drawIcon = true;' Then reload the game and the metro icons will show.
